New Music News and Other Crap

While Dick Cheney has been hitting the talk show circuit in earnest,he also has been trying something new lately-music! Yes, Dick has decided, what the heck-he was gonna go for it, and try doing a little rapping. He always knew he had it in him.
This is the front and back of his debut offering-"Jus' Dickin' Around"

I have always liked the show Just Shoot Me. We even got a DVD of the series a few years back. One of my favorite characters was Kevin, played by Brian Posehn. The guy was born for comedy-just look at him! Funny delivery, voice, looks-you can't go wrong with that! I hadn't realized he was such a funny standup comedian. (NSFW)

Ok....what the hell are you people after!?

This is kinda freakin' me out, ok?

What are you people looking for?! Tell me! I have been looking at my Sitemeter readings for the last week or so, and for some reason a bunch of people have been looking at this archive: http://c3fun.blogspot.com/2008_02_24_archive.html It contains a response to a tag from Jen at Casual Slack, an Onion News video about Nascar, a dumb poem I did about flying like a bird, a thing about Adam Levine, and a dumb thing I did about Obama and Hillary before the Primary.

Could it be the Adam Levine thing? Some twisted people trying to find pics of him? Can't be my stuff. The Onion thing can be found on Youtube proper, so that's out. What the heck is it?! It's driving me nuts since these visits just seemed to jump all of a sudden.

Let me know-are there some Adam Levine crazies out there? Most of the time I can tell what caused the jump from my usual say, 10 daily visits to maybe 50-60. Not this time. But I do have suspicions it's you Adam Levine nuts. Am I right?

I saw this funny guy Andy Borowitz' stuff on the Huffington Post, a little while back, and from then I have been hooked on his funny stories! I subscribed to his zany little news reports. Check them out, and get a free subscription-these news stories are funny as hell!
borowitzreport.com
Crazy, screwy, somewhat Onionish, (but probably sometimes funnier) observations about our world today that's for sure! Here are a couple of his recent items:

Cheney to Travel Around Country in Sound Truck

Gingrich: Pelosi Not Good Enough Liar to be Speaker

* Geez-I can't keep those Eugene Mirman (where he recorded a homophobic long distance company's spiel-and his very funny responses) links up to save my life! I have had mp3's, Youtube "videos" of these 3 calls, and now-nothing. I did find an Mp3 (on a really cool Internet pop media site WFMU WFMU's Beware of the Blog -check it out for all manner of odd, funny, and really neat Internet stuff!) of one of the funnier of the 3 calls (not the funniest-that's the one with the male caller in my opinion!) Until I get more of these sacred Mp3's, here is the Mp3 of the call from "Kizzie Musselman" of the "Faith, Family and Freedom Campaign."

Speaking of Eugene, he seems to get a lot of weird telemarketing calls. And he seems to quite enjoy making jokes out of them! On Mirman's site he has a bunch of streaming media of these calls, including all 3 right wing Christian anti-gay telemarketer calls for you to hear. Check them out! There's also some other assorted stuff to enjoy!

Musical Comedians

I don't know why, but even though I had always wanted to post comedian Sean Cullen's Food of Your Choice thing a long time ago-I never got around to it. I like this guy's comedy. He's got a funny-looking face-great for making all those silly facial expressions, the funny voice, the music, the weirdness-all the things I enjoy in comedy. I don't know why, but for some reason he reminds me of a character from Ren and Stimpy!

Food of Your Choice: I remember a version of this he did that included a reference to Bill Cosby's pudding. This version is puddingless, but still kinda funny.

One of my all-time favorite comedians is a great guitarist, and incorporates that great playing into his hilarious progressive songs!

Actually featuring Comic, Comedian and Clip

I like Superpoop. The comic-not what I make after eating too much! Superpoop: Photo Comics by Drew

I have always enjoyed Norm MacDonald's wry, odd comedy. He pronounces words funny too-(gur-raj)! Anyway, I heard this clip on my favorite XM comedy channel-Laugh Attack-Canada's uncensored comedy! Norm is great as always, describing the "scene"!

Bob Saget!!!

Sorry I haven't been around at all. Been too busy, and to tell you the truth burnt a little on my blog. I have had awful trojan and malware stuff too-enough to where I will have to reformat and reinstall XP! I am doing this post from my laptop!

I have been debating whether to post this (or the other videos) for forever now! Many of you have heard of Tourette's Guy. (Apparently the guy-"Danny" passed away after a car accident) His videos are all over the Internet, and there are many Google entries out there since 1. it is a mystery if "Danny" really had/has Tourettes, and 2. Is "Danny" really dead?
I think that from what I know of the disease, "Danny" doesn't really have tourettes. His behavior is what people who don't know what tourettes is think it is. I think. It is just a crazy guy using a lot of cursing and acting silly. And that was my predicament. I have always felt that his stuff was funnier than hell! As some of you may know, I have an 8 year-old son who has autism. I hate when people make fun of kids who have special needs. I have talked about joking mean-spiritedly about people with special needs here before. I have said I wouldn't post any clip/joke about people with special needs. Comics who do this kind of routine regularly are just untalented a-holes. (Jim Idiot Norton comes to mind) Here's the thing-I think TG calls/called himself that, but he was not (even if it said he was on the now-defunct site). I think he's just acting crazy-some people said he was/is a drinker, and that made him that way. I don't know, but since I in my professional opinion, don't think he has/had tourettes, I decided to post this "best of TG" clip. I think it's funny. I don't know what you all will think.

I hope all the women out there don't have to deal with guys like this for Valentines Day!!

Comedy for the beginning of the end

Married to the Sea Married To The Sea: "The Champagne of Comics" is a great comic-just ask Anne Altman Two Can Anne who has posted lots of MTTS, done by Natalie and Drew Dee. On the MTTS site, they also have other funny stuff, including Superpoop Superpoop which are real photos-hilariously captioned! Here's a couple (or three) of Superpoop. That didn't come out well! Hey! That didn't come out so well eith...aww forget it-here
they are:

I have always liked Demetri Martin's comedy. Here, in this clip (audio only-someone put pictures to the jokes-check out this clip's "more info" on YT) Martin does his usual, unique, observational humor while playing his guitar.

Classic Corddry

There are and have been some really, really funny people staffing The Daily Show. One of these very funny personalities was Rob Corddry. His angry facial expressions, ridiculous sight gags, with him often taking a swipe at dumbass John Stossel's whiny "Give Me a Break!" reports are funnier than you know what! I mean, come, on!

Some funny motherf&%*@!s!

I have been wanting to put up some clips from this guy for a long time. I like Kat Williams' comedy a lot! He is raw as hell, but there is a undercurrent of thinking about being a better person amidst all the cussing and n-words! From Wikipedia: As a guest on The Tonight Show in February 2007, he spoke about the importance of adopting from foster care, stating "...he didn’t have to go to Africa to do it. Amazingly enough, there are needy kids right down the street."

I just read that he recently had been asked by some family members to seek mental evaluation due to some erratic behavior. "Comedian Katt Williams hospitalized in SumterI guess he is now saying that a December 31 appearance with Steve Harvey will be his last stand up. I really hope he gets better soon, whether it is stress, or family issues, I hope he can work it out-he's one funny guy!

And, kinda related...

True Confessions

Hey! Maybe I should try this sometimes when I don't know the answer!

True confession Story time: When my son was born, my wife and I were walking around the hospital floor with me pushing my son in one of those hospital bassinets a few days later, since she had had a cesarean. We saw the Principal of the school were I had worked a few years earlier, who was with her daughter who had also just had a baby. We went up to her and I said hi, she said "hi" and she said "this is my daughter, etc" and then she said "what is it?" I thought she meant what did you have-a boy or a girl? She really meant-"what was your name?" I said proudly, "baby boy." She looked at me kinda weird and said, "Uhmm, no, I mean, what was your name?" My wife was so sore from the C-section that laughing was really hard for her, but she could barely keep from just bursting out loud! I got teased about this for a while! Now, we sometimes think about that day when I called myself "baby boy"!! It's good for some chuckles!
I will post a "name confusion" story that happened to me a while back for the next post. (I don't know, guess I feel like getting these off my chest!)

I always liked Rodney Dangerfield. What a classic comedian he was! Maybe the king of the one-liner.

I always liked this guy too: Richard Belzer on Reagan and Salman Rushdie:

Update: I just saw this in my list of updated blogmates posts! Another typically hilarious post from Jon Swift, just in time for the post Thanksgiving snacking and regorging!

Native comedy and a "what if?"

In looking for interesting standup, I came across a clip for the ill-fated Richard Pryor Show in 1977. This native standup comedian named Charlie Hill came on Richard's show and gave a little of the Native American perspective on life in America. Here is that clip and a more recent clip of Hill from the 2000's.

Here is something that you can send to a friend who is thinking about not voting in the coming election (I haven't heard of any of them thankfully, but just in case!)

I got this email from MoveOn with the subject "you're in this video" The body of the email said that on November 7, Obama's loss in the previous Tuesday's election could be traced to me not getting out to vote! (like that would ever happen!) It's a fun, funny video, well done and edited perfectly. Send it to your friends! http://www.cnnbcvideo.com/index.html?nid=GfssiENkntoD7cozAH_ODDQxMzQwMg--&referred_by=8428026-ERhQ_6x

By the way, isn't the newscaster that guy that I had posted Some Oldies but Goodies... and maybe you hadn't seenies? doing that great impersonation of Keith Olbermann? I am pretty sure it is, but tell me what you think.

I have noticed that there is a lot of "crossover" in some very disparate forms of music lately! The genre-switching is new and interesting! We probably haven't seen these kinds of musical twists since Run-DMC and Aerosmith melded! Wow! Trying to cover all the bases...

Seems like people coming to this blog are looking for SNL stuff, music stuff and maybe the hot sweaty photos of Ashanti or just plain hot photos of America Ferrara! Well, here is a funny clip from SNL alum Dana Carvey that's about music-that's two out 4-50%!

Carvey gives some observations about guitar players, and music!

WTF?! Is this one of them there "other movies" or what!? Those girl sounds are nasty-sounding!

I love Keith Olberman, but this little parody is just too funny!

*update: I found that Viacom had the Dave Chapelle black KKK guy/white supremacist videos taken down-but I found another link Hey kids! Make your own damn comics! so that you can laugh-I always have liked Chapelle's racial humor-makes you think!
I also fixed the Celebrity Deathmatch link (I had a funny Stephen King vs JK Rowlings-but it got deleted) I now have a funny Mike Myers vs Dana Carvey match that's pretty good There will be blood and crap like that Hope you enjoy those links!

Super Comedy!

When I was a youngster, I used to stay up late and watch the Late Night with David Letterman with my parents once in a while. I liked a lot of the skits and guests that they had on the show. One of my favorite guests was Super Dave Osborne, the deadpan stuntman whose stunts were less exciting feats of precision and daring, and more often hilarious tragedies! I couldn't find any of these clips on YT until just recently, and I am glad I at least found a few! Geez-I didn't know that "Osbourne's" brother is Albert Brooks! I like Albert Brooks a lot also! And I didn't know that their real names are Albert and Bob Einstein!

I tried to find more of his inane stunts but couldn't find them. I also thought his interviews on Late Night with DL were pretty good-couldn't find any! Here is a "non-stunt" clip that is kinda funny.

Have you ever gone to a thriller type of movie and, because it tries to be "twisty" and surprising, the storyline is shot to hell!? The plot? What plot?! I swear sometimes a movie can have so many plot twists and turns that you end up more confused and pissed off that you just spent a good chunk of change on admission on the crap you can't believe you just spent the good chunk of change on! This little sketch satirizes that kind of thriller's plot pretty good! I've posted some of these guy's skits before-Derrick Comedy with (Special Agent) "Tom Rogers Must Get His Daughter Back"

* Next post I will have more excerpts of Jerome Corsi's Obama Nation book!

Been meaning to put up some Wanda Sykes. I never could get into her TV show that much-but Fox cancelled it before I could develop more interest in it. I don't think her style came across that well. Recently, I heard her unmistakable voice. Where, you ask? My son was watching Over the Hedge, which is a great children's movie with a lot of great voices like W. Shatner, B. Willis, N. Nolte, S. Carell, and of course, the wonderful Ms. Sykes. She plays a skunk who just loves to "gas" whoever is giving her some crap! Great movie!

Bernie Mac-October 5, 1957-August 9, 2008

I shoulda posted this before the last one. Bernie Mac, who I felt was one of the funniest comedians around, died yesterday after suffering from pneumonia. The guy had great delivery, hilarious facial expressions, and a raw sense of humor that mixed observations of family life, differences in cultures/races and autobiographical stuff that was just plain funny!
I guess I can understand how the Obama camp might not have wanted Bernie to get too raw at a recent fundraiser. I think the media made too big a deal of it. Obama apparently didn't get too upset about it. George Lopez, another favorite of mine, had to be careful to not do his full "FTP" routine at another Obama fundraiser!

I don't watch that many TV shows , but my wife and I thought the Bernie Mac Show was one of the funniest. It was too bad FOX cancelled the show. There have been a few shows that break down the "fourth wall," but his show took that device to new levels with Bernie communicating his thoughts about the show's events in an often hilarious, and sometimes touching manner.
He's gonna be missed.
Here is a clip of his standup:

Ahh...memories of hits gone by...

I love comedian Eugene Mirman, who I had on this blog a long, long time ago with this post: C3 Fun -Comics, Comedians and Clips: Don't mess with the South. Jon Swift featured it for his Best Blog Posts of 2007 (Chosen by the Bloggers Themselves) . That got me a lot of hits for Mirman's hilarious recorded phone calls messing with those far right Christian long distance phone telemarketers, plus that Top Gear thing in the deep South! I am indebted to Jon-that was the freakin' most hits this lowly blog has ever had! Thanks Jon! (Glad you're back!) Here are a coupla clips of Mirman at his strange, NSFW best!

Now this is funny!

With the passing of George Carlin, some in the blogging world said why couldn't it have been Yakov Smirnoff that went! I never found him funny at all! His shtick was dumb and one dimensional and he was kinda irritating. That's why I really loved this little parody of Yakov! I have the Ben Stiller Show DVD that this little clip came from! It is excellent if you can find it! (I loved that show!)
