Values-they're great! (for some people!)

I thought this was hilarious. Mike Stark-progressive blogger, Youtuber- mrcawguy activist and intrepid hounder of the right-went to the Value Voters Summit, and rightfully chided the attendees about why certain righties with shady values were invited to speak or were even allowed to show their face-given their history. If you haven't heard about the VVS 2009 Value Voters Summit this is a collection of politicians, pundits, and cheerleaders that are the furthest to the far right you can get. In this video, Stark takes a cue from the Fox "ambush" guys and gives these guys a taste of their own medicine. I found the slow-moving, "Eyore"-turtle-looking guy to be the funniest. (what is the deal with that guy!?) Maybe he is ashamed to be appearing at this collection of nutcases, I don't know.

This is indicative of these people on the far right-when they have a sticky hypocritical stance, don't discuss it or try to 'splain yourself-just avoid the issue altogether.

Hot, sweaty comedy

In looking at my Sitemeter readings, I have noticed that many people click on this link:
http://c3fun.blogspot.com/2008_06_15_archive.html
. In fact, this link is the most popular, and has been for months. It's probably because this post has a link to a blog that has lots of photos of celebrities sweating. Yeah, that's it.
What, are you kidding me!? Are you f'n nuts!? It's because of those hot, sweaty photos of Ashanti. Yeah, tell you what, I have clicked on that link "just to check if there is any comments"-a lot!
Seeing this clip from Lev Yilmaz' Tales of Mere Existence made me think of that old post!

I thought this guy (Jimmy Carr) was funny on The Tonight Show.

*I added The Good Kentuckian to my blog links. I mentioned TGK, and Liberals Must Die a while back http://c3fun.blogspot.com/2009/04/too-busy-to-do-much-but-these-are-great.html . This is a great blog folks. There is, apparently, a gentleman angry at the authors of this blog! This person-"Jay" wrote: "you should be ashamed to call yourself Christians, Americans, or Kentuckians, none of these three groups want people like you." He didn't get it. he started his own "The Real Good Kentuckian" lol! TGK is sarcasm, parody-buddy! Oh well- check it out! Very, very funny-irreverent comedy.

Maybe you saw this maybe not...

I apologize for not being around to comment lately-I will be able to later this week...pretty busy lately...
With the CA Supreme Court decision handed down recently, these come to mind...
The NOM's "Gathering Storm" commercial/fodder for satire inspired many to parody its lameness. There were many really funny storms that were produced from the original gathering storm-including Colbert's and Lizz Winstead's very funny edition.
This one, done with Xtranormal's movie-making tools Xtranormal Text-to-Movie is one you may have missed, but it's pretty f'n hilarious. I have wanted to do one of these Xtranormal movies for a while since I heard about it. Now that I have a little extra time, I'll give it a try!

Geez I almost feel like getting a Mac lately-If we could afford the damn thing! I have been having a lot of trouble with setting up a wireless network and also trouble with IE 8 and 7 not displaying my work's webmail and Comcast's webmail correctly! Windows can suck sometimes! I have XP and it sucks also!

Taking care of some business

If you're interested in purchasing some beaded, or charm-type jewelry for the holiday season, please check out my wife's site http://www.lucindascharms.etsy.com She has some pretty good deals on some great stuff!

Found a pretty good comedy "troupe" on YT. Landline TV. Here's a few of their clips:

Charming...isn't it?

Hi fellow bloggers/visitors! I want to tell you about a little jewelry business my wife has been doing on the side for a while. She has been making jewelry for as long as I can remember, but just started two little stores on Etsy.com, where she is selling her own hand-made jewelry.

Lavender Moon's emphasis is on vintage style beaded jewelry, and Lucindas Charms concentrates on vintage style charms and filigree. She just started a blog: http://www.lucindascharms.blogspot.com
She makes some great stuff! She works hard at it! I hope that you stop by her blog and her stores and check our her designs! Thanks!

This is pretty funny-a "mash-up" of the Gibson Palin interview with a famous interchange that occurred at the Miss Teen USA competition in 2007. Enjoy!

Tooot! Tooot!

Anybody that knows me knows that I am not one to "toot my own horn" (maybe another kind of tooting, though!) but I am really excited to tell you that I am just one of many bloggers whose posts are featured on one of my favorite blogger's blogs-Jon Swift in his roundup of the people on his blogroll's best blog posts of 2007-chosen by the bloggers themselves. I absolutely love Jon Swift! Funny, funny stuff-(you gotta check out his archive of his greatest posts- Best of Jon Swift !!)
Another reason to check out today's Jon Swift post is that there are so many interesting posts from a wide variety of bloggers, I don't know how I will ever get through them all-but the post headings (and what I have read so far) really look like some great stuff!

Hope you all get a chance to check it out! Happy New Year!

Bad taste in music can be a funny thing

I have been coming across several blog-mate's posts about (bad) music Color Me Horrified... or featuring (good) music videos, americanscot.blogspot.com/2007/11/music-corner-sleater-kinney.html and it made me think about a website I found several years ago called You Have Bad Taste In Music. www.youhavebadtasteinmusic.com/ This guy with the pseudonym Eman Laerton (ha ha-funny) actually went to concert venues and berated people about their choice of attending concerts by such acts as: Justin Timberlake, Ruben Studdard, Nickelback, Hoobastank, and Linkin Park, wearing a crude disguise of raincoat or trench coat,(?) shorts, a funny-looking military type helmet circa WWI, a crate to stand atop, and armed with a megaphone. Occasionally, some of the people (especially at the Train concert hall-who would think the fans of Train would be rowdy, combative drunks? Maybe they were just really embarrassed to be seen outside a Train concert!) get mad and threaten him. Most of the people waiting to go into these concerts laugh and get a kick out of his statements that the PABT (People Against Bad Taste) have deemed them to be suffering from chronic bad taste in music. He's funny, and maybe to those people attending those concerts an eye-opener to that bad taste in music that they have subscribed to with their ticket purchases. He has not posted any new videos lately. I think that's a shame. There is still quite a lot of bad taste in music out there! Give us some more Scientific Proof findings!

On his website, there are Quick Time clips available, but I am posting some clips that I found on YouTube by "Eman Laerton."

Linkin Park

Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera
