*Update: I was looking at an older post from 12-2- More on music, and I realized that the title was unintentionally fitting. Honestly, I didn't think of that title as a joke for those songs I included in that post! I know it just seems to fit, but no, it was because I was continuing the discussion about music from the post before. Anyway, I went ahead and put actual players for the songs and revised some stuff. Its easier to listen to those morons now.

Strips and quips
Not feeling too well tonight, but thought I'd post some fashionable strips brought on by thinking about how people speak of each other on talk radio and on blogs.

Odds and ends
Some ends:
I was checking out some blog and this Google ad caught my eye. Odd, but kinda funny! (you can say it's subject matter comes from the end!)
You know, Ron Paul has got a lot of boneheaded ideas, and maybe he is a little "off" in the head, but I am sure going to miss some of that "crazy" talk in the run to the election!

*(better not click on that link-who knows what you might hear! Wonder if Grant Miller had anything to do with this ad!)
This one is so sad...Let me try and compose myself...ok...before you curse out your fridge, your dishwasher, or that electric space heater-remember that they have feelings too!

Some clips by Katz20two and some oldies but goodies
Hey people I came upon these cool clips today on YT and I thought I would share them with you. This young lady is funny, quirky, and yes, as some of the comments have proclaimed, very cute. I am always excited and happy to find some clips of some budding humorist/comedian.
In the first clip, she describes purchasing coffee at Starbucks. I have often thought about how they label their sizes-Tall, Grande, Vente. To me, it is somewhat illogical to have the smallest size be named the "Tall." When I first started going over there, I was always wondering-"do they not have a small size coffee?" Well, I think katz02two has thought about this a bit also, as she hilariously describes in this clip.
In this next clip, katz20two shows what happens when horribly poor public speakers like me are asked to make a speech!
By the way she has a non-humorous, real deep-thinking clip about what it means to be an American. This is not in the jingoistic, militaristic kind of way, but really thinking about what matters to be an American on her channel/site on YouTube, if you want to check it out, along with a few more humor clips, its here: katz20two (Re: Paperlilies)
I was watching TV the other night and caught Spaceballs. I loved that movie! There was this guy who did "noise impressions" (I guess you could call it that!) in the movie named Michael Winslow. He's amazing! How does he get those sounds out of his mouth?!
His more recent Geico commercial clip is ok:
I was thinking about some song parodies that Mad TV did, and then I remembered the Darlene McBride character-the racist, ultra-right country singer that Nicole Sullivan portrayed. (I always liked most of her skits on the show).
Montgomery-Gentry-eat your heart out!
Ok-this might seem a little harsh, but I think Mo Collins nailed Alanis' voice!
Yeah all the bands kinda sounded like this for a while.

Bizarre Romneyan whispers and other thoughts
By now you all have heard of the Romney whisper incident, right? If not, here is a link to where I read about it on Crooks and Liars: MSNBC responds to “The Romney Whisper”
Not many people know this, but there have been some other incidents of Romney-like whispers that saved the whisper-ees some stress and pain.
The following is a 'toon by a great cartoonist!

The wonderful world of movies and such!
I don't know. Lately I have been looking at Grant Miller Media a lot. The guy is just funny. Real funny. And thankfully prolific too! I got influenced by one of his latest posts about a particular movie that's out now to do this. So blame his sick mind for the bad influence! Anyway, without further ado, here are some movie reviews for "Elephallus," a new movie coming to your local theatres soon! I heard that it's pretty good! These noted critics told me so!
Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times says: "Elephallus is maybe the best of the year in a year that has some outstanding films. Its got the candor, the pathos and energy to sustain the audiences' attention through the whole hour and a half. You know what I really liked about this movie? the rock hard script. The lyrical, almost eloquent lines that these characters have is one thing that really stands out!
Christy Lemire of the Associated Press writes: "I took the whole famly to see it. We were all amazed at this film! An hour and a half? It didn't even seem half that long! The ebb and flow just glided along to it's natural conclusion. I was fascinated by the characters. These characters will never fade in my memory, they are imprinted into my brain!"
Peter Travers of Rolling Stone says: "Awww geez! This one is fun! A rollicking, twisty, twitchy, good time for all ages. If you're searching for the answers to life's questions in this film, you won't find them here! I predict this flick is going to be huge! Really huge. Take a friend and let this film's magic grow on you!"
Here are some of the trailers for the new Miramax film-Elephallus:
I have a confession to make; (see there's another GMM influence!) I had a crush on Toni Tenille of the Captain and Tenille, when I was around 10, 11. Yes, I know, that may sound like an odd person to choose for a crush but I did, ok? I had this album:

On this album they had the song Muskrat Love and another song called Broddy Bounce that had Toni telling her and the Captain's dogs to "roll over" "sit" "stay," and "good boy" I kinda fantasized that Toni was telling me to do those things. Ok, I know that is #$%^ sick for a 10, 11 year-old boy to be thinking. I just want you to know that I don't think that way anymore.
I don't know-maybe it was the way she gave those commands.
Here is a clip that isn't meant to be funny but in it Johnny Rotten gives his thoughts about the Iraq war and what he thinks of our President. I thought this was humorous just for that fact that in the middle of this serious conversation with the interviewer, he does something that is a little jarring.
Like I always say: When making an argument to dismantle nuclear weapons, or develop a cogent, well-thought out plan to fix our health care crisis, a well-placed belch can make your argument that much stronger. (especially if you have just had a Quizno's Original Italian with onions, and sour cream chips!)

Comedy you don't have to take off your sunglasses and apologize for!
Yeah. This is real *&^%! It's not a joke. If you can believe that! This kid is a piece-a work!
This guy-Arj Barker is pretty funny. Here are a couple of clips. For the record, the things he describes in both clips have never ever happened to me! (Beginning of the 1st clip is screwy)
I really need to do something about getting in shape. Walking, dieting, something. Not like I am morbidly obese, but, when I can't bend down as easily to tie my shoes, and I get out of breath when I take out the trash, I know that I am not in as good shape as I was 10-15 years ago! Jim Gaffigan, who has become one of my favorite comedians, (I love his "offended audience member" bit!) talks about eating and our health. Blogging isn't so good for our health. Sitting there addictively looking and listening to outrageously funny stuff isn't healthy. But it sure is funny!
Yes, Jim's funnier than hell! Speaking of hell, he talks about religion here. No vid, just audio.
