RIP Jon Swift

Hard to believe this, but I just heard from Bluegal that Jon Swift-aka Al Weisel-died on February 27. His dear mom had posted a comment to let his fans know that he had passed. I had kept going back to his blog periodically to check and see if he would post something, anything-I loved his blog and back when I started, his was the first to check for new posts. The guy could write! He could make you laugh your ass off, and make a point at the same time.
He gave people like me, a chance to shine a little with his annual "Best Blog Posts of 20.." He was loved by both the left and right. He just seemed happy to contribute to any kind of social-political discussion of the day!

I sure hope his blog is kept online. I want to be able to go back once and while and laugh, and get some insight from reading some of the best blog posts ever written.

I know I will miss you, "Jon."

My Comcast homepage has some dumb ass advertising from different mortgage companies-you know, those stupid people who dance when the cursor is placed on the photo, the lady who looks like she's screaming, etc. The latest one I have seen though, is f'n hilarious. What the hell is wrong with this guy?! It looks like he has just sensed that he is going to have a horrible case of diarrhea, not viewed his latest mortgage payment! I thought this was hilarious. Mike Stark-progressive blogger, Youtuber- mrcawguy activist and intrepid hounder of the right-went to the Value Voters Summit, and rightfully chided the attendees about why certain righties with shady values were invited to speak or were even allowed to show their face-given their history. If you haven't heard about the VVS 2009 Value Voters Summit this is a collection of politicians, pundits, and cheerleaders that are the furthest to the far right you can get. In this video, Stark takes a cue from the Fox "ambush" guys and gives these guys a taste of their own medicine. I found the slow-moving, "Eyore"-turtle-looking guy to be the funniest. (what is the deal with that guy!?) Maybe he is ashamed to be appearing at this collection of nutcases, I don't know.

This is indicative of these people on the far right-when they have a sticky hypocritical stance, don't discuss it or try to 'splain yourself-just avoid the issue altogether.

Update: Hey friends-I was Googling something about Glenn Beck, when I came across a really great blog with a really funny, wish-I had-thought-of that-one-for-my-blog-name: New World Odor(!) New World Odor This blog is done by a cool guy named Paul Sonderman. Please check it out for all things informative, humorous and of course, progressive...uhhm...but not that fascist kind of progressive, Glenn!

Just happened to come across these while making my usual rounds within Youtube. Yes these are silly, teenaged (hell, maybe even less than teenaged!)pranks and jokes, but dammit they're pretty funny when you've just had a s#%# week, and its WEEKEND TIME!
These two videos are from the collection of pranks and jokes on the Youtube channel-http://www.youtube.com/user/edbassmaster These guys have a huge collection of silly pranks like hidden camera pranks, including prank calls, parodies, and stuff like these two videos.

Pranks like this are something I have always wanted to do but have not. Why? Because my wife would probably pinch the hell out me and give me hell for doing it, and we are ordering food, so...I don't want anything to be...uhmm added to that food. I have asked for a large pizza at McDonalds and ordered a competitor's burger at these joints but no more than that!

Ok-I know this is gross, but the reactions on the people's faces are funny, and hey-it's a human condition alright!? These aren't even real. It's some kinda fart machine or something.

Things I Don't Get/Why Do You Do This?!

Here are some things I don't get:
*I apologize if you do, say, or have one the things mentioned here:

1. Why do people say "what's up?" with a terse edge to it? When you come to talk to them in the office-they aren't busy, they're just sitting there, you have worked with them for a while and you yet you still get that damn "what's up?" thing with the why are you bothering me? attitude?

2. Why do people not get completely into the turn area/middle lane, and just leave enough of the right rear corner of their car so that you have to stop/slow and edge into the right lane risking your car getting hit all because these people can't pull their damn car completely and straightly into the turning lane?

3. People who continually (not once in a while) make their point by asking a rhetorical question, then answering that question, then asking another, then answering that one, one after another, after another...

4. People who overuse the sarcastic phrase: Hello?!

5. Guys who wear their baseball caps backwards

6. Guys who wear their baseball caps sideways and askew

7. Guys who have absolutely no hair on their face (and sometimes not on their head either) but have that one tiny patch of hair-between their mouth and chin. What's that all about.

8. The sagging gang pants thing is bad enough, but then why do you have the emo kids wearing those super tight straight leg pants....with the sag somehow put in the ass area?! WTF?

I have been wondering this myself.

Do any of you watch and enjoy the T.V. shows Ghosthunters, Ghost Adventures, or The Scariest Places On Earth? If so, sorry if I offend you with what I am about to say. First of all, I don't believe in ghosts, so that's part of my disdain for these shows, but not only that, these shows don't even provide a cheap thrill! They're actually more comedies than anything that's thrilling!
I hate these dumb shows with all my heart! These shows are ridiculous! They are dumb. (Have I said dumb enough?)
Let me count the ways these shows are dumb for each dumb show. Maybe you'll agree or nod your head with a knowing-"yeah that guy is telling it like it is about those f#$^% up, sh!#@ headed, mother@$%^&% shows." Well, maybe you won't say it exactly like that, but something along those lines. Well here goes. I am stating my case.

Ghosthunters: (My wife likes to watch Ghosthunters so I try not to make fun of it too much in front of her!)

1. When Joe the Plumber lookalike Jason Hawes says with a straight face, "this may be a residual haunting" to some homeowner, that's just.....dumb. Residual haunting....

2. When Grant Wilson says "This is an EVP. (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) This will record any supernatural voices that our human ears will not pick up." I would love to be on the set to tell him, "Yeah right!" "That's probably your 2 year-old playing with his toys, and that other noise is Jason taking a crap!"

3. The show is horribly edited-It's choppy as hell. Homeowners with "ghosts" are asked something about their experiences with "their" ghosts, at the beginning or the end of the segment, so they give them about a minute or two to talk, then baldy and greasy will cut them off, by jumping out of their seats and say, "ok lets set up," or will shake their hand at the end of segment. It seems all interactions on this show are like this. Even the ghosts are cut off. They could be experiencing a lot of "phenomena," but still, Joe the Plumber and Grant will tell everyone to start packing up-they gotta go! Caspar be damned.

The Scariest Places on Earth:
1. hosted by Linda Blair and narrated by Zelda Rubinstein of Poltergeist fame-Zelda tries to sound scary, but really-those voiceovers of hers! They make her sound like she just got up from a long nap! And poor Linda sounds tired and in need of a nap!

2. The "scary" parts consist of showing people's faces, filmed with nightvision lenses, screaming about something they just heard and which the TV audience does not hear. "Arrrgh! Did you hear that?!" (no we didn't) "Oh God! Did you just hear THAT?!" (again we didn't hear THAT either) That's pretty much it-just repeat that 10 times.

Ghost Adventures:
Boy-imaginative title huh? This one is the worst in my opinion. It consists of an idiot (Zak Bagans) yelling at ghosts with his stupid, greasy, shitty hair. "Hey dude-ghost! Come on out and fight like a real ghost, dude!" This guy is irritating! Most of the time, Bagans will hear something that only he can hear, or be tapped on the shoulder (very convienient that only Zak seems to get tapped or nudged by ghosts!) He'll jump up and shout "Dude! Did you just hear that?!" Most of the time no one has, but sometimes there is the faint sound of something, maybe someone's stomach growling.

I recently joined Facebook at the urging of a fellow special education teacher. I don't know-I just can't get that "into it" so far. It's a little overwhelming for me. Although I do enjoy the "chat" feature and "chatted" with Lisa from That is Why for a while the other day! There's just too much info for me. I log on, and check out stuff, but I can't take it all in. Maybe it will take some time getting used to. My little questions with Facebook aren't the same are these individuals though:

Geez this is stupid! I mean she's stupid. This is from a comedy troupe called Quiet Library QuietLibrary Boy oh boy! You need to check these people out on their Youtube channel if you haven't already! Internet sketch comedy is often dark, running the limits of taste (Derrickcomedy and Thewhitestkidsuknow for example) and "edgy," and these guys do have some clips that are very dark, but well played out, and ultimately funny as hell!

I sometimes watch Chris Matthews' Hardball. As I have said before in other posts, I don't watch much TV. In watching this show, I find Matthews to be sometimes kind of irritating.

It's his manner of speaking, and his pronunciation of words that gets me.

I know I am being nit-picky, superficial and silly but this affects my ability to watch Hardball. His pronunciation of certain words or names like Cheney get to me. He pronounces the name "Cheeney." Yes, there's an interesting controversy about this particular pronunciation: Liz Cheney v. Lynne Cheney/Chris Matthews on Pronunciation . (So maybe he's actually correct here!)
But there are other little things he says that just add up to irritation-at least to me. He pronounced Holocaust several times the other day as "Hollycaust"; he pronouced zealot, which I would pronounce and I would assume most other people would pronounce as "zeh-lut"; as "zeh-lot"- accenting the first syllable, instead of balancing both. He reads news items incorrectly all the time. They're all jumbled up, mixed up. He starts reading a quote, then has to start over-all the time. He asks people for their viewpoints, then interrupts them while they are speaking to ask about something else.
Also, that weird, downward-turned mouth of his. What's with that?! Is it just me?!

I know-it's stupid.

I subscribe to The Frank Factor channel on Youtube. TheFrankFactor He's like an uncensored, raging Billo, but on the complete opposite side of the political spectrum. I check him out when I need an antidote for the righty stuff I sometimes check out. If you check him out, keep in mind that he is raging! He uses a lot of cussing to get his point across!
He uses the term "fucktard" a lot! I can't help it but when I think of the term "fucktard," I think along these lines:

Without your silly, jealous, maybe prudish(?) comments about the 49 year-old Valerie in a bikini and the subsequent gossip show's reports-that included a glimpse of Val in said bikini-I would not have known there was such a glorious testimony to the effects of someone like Val working her...a-well...extra pounds off-she still has curves! and it gives me uhhm...inspiration to work out myself.)
I know-most of this post sounds like so many double entendres! Most-(really-no kidding!) are not meant to be-they just came out ....awww forget it!

So... I came across some Youtube clips of gorgeous Valerie! Little did I know that I would also come across some of the weirdest, funniest YT comments I have seen in a while! *Just to let you know-as with many Youtube comments-these are some of the most nasty, profane, silly, immature, sexist, and mean spirited digital diatribes unleashed against people. Sometimes they can be kinda funny to point out though!

*(Click to enlarge)On one clip- (channel names/commenter names taken off to protect the innocent, even though I know you can check them out on YT yourself. People don't need any more or unwanted attention on YT) There's one guy who comments about the clip fairly innocuously-but gets his head chewed off by another commenter. At the end of the exchange, the 1st guy gets the last laugh!
In another VB clip "pants around the ankles guy" shows up again! Relentless, he is!

I checked out "super angry commenter's" (from the first screenshot) channel. Looks like someone's got anger issues!

Yes-Ms. Bertinelli has inspired many comments. Including guys(?) who want Valerie to wear a certain type of bikini...and horny guys who get ridiculed by other guys...
...and what's with the "pink polka dot" guy!? In another VB bikini clip (yes-I checked them all out!) he's still got "designs" on Valerie's swimwear!

Finally-of all the strange, horny, disgusting comments directed at Valerie, the next two have to be the strangest! What is the deal with the Illuminati amidst the hottie?! I mean, you're seeing all these slobbering guys' comments, and then this weird stuff about aliens and Alex Jones pops up! I don't get it!

I really need to lose some since we're talking about extra pounds! Speaking of weight issues...just saw a repeat TV medical show about that heaviest man in the world. Ugh! Reminds me of this clip!

What are you people looking for?! Tell me! I have been looking at my Sitemeter readings for the last week or so, and for some reason a bunch of people have been looking at this archive: http://c3fun.blogspot.com/2008_02_24_archive.html It contains a response to a tag from Jen at Casual Slack, an Onion News video about Nascar, a dumb poem I did about flying like a bird, a thing about Adam Levine, and a dumb thing I did about Obama and Hillary before the Primary.

Could it be the Adam Levine thing? Some twisted people trying to find pics of him? Can't be my stuff. The Onion thing can be found on Youtube proper, so that's out. What the heck is it?! It's driving me nuts since these visits just seemed to jump all of a sudden.

Let me know-are there some Adam Levine crazies out there? Most of the time I can tell what caused the jump from my usual say, 10 daily visits to maybe 50-60. Not this time. But I do have suspicions it's you Adam Levine nuts. Am I right?

I apologize for not being around to comment lately-I will be able to later this week...pretty busy lately...
With the CA Supreme Court decision handed down recently, these come to mind...
The NOM's "Gathering Storm" commercial/fodder for satire inspired many to parody its lameness. There were many really funny storms that were produced from the original gathering storm-including Colbert's and Lizz Winstead's very funny edition.
This one, done with Xtranormal's movie-making tools Xtranormal Text-to-Movie is one you may have missed, but it's pretty f'n hilarious. I have wanted to do one of these Xtranormal movies for a while since I heard about it. Now that I have a little extra time, I'll give it a try!

Geez I almost feel like getting a Mac lately-If we could afford the damn thing! I have been having a lot of trouble with setting up a wireless network and also trouble with IE 8 and 7 not displaying my work's webmail and Comcast's webmail correctly! Windows can suck sometimes! I have XP and it sucks also!

I turned on Fox News just to see what's up and Orally and Cannity were both going off on Janeane Garofalo. (and Wanda Sykes and Obama and....etc etc. By the way-I loved Wanda's stuff!!)

Fox's Ambusher in Chief-Griff (Griff!?) Jenkins did just that outside of one of Garofalo's latest gig outside of Starbucks in Mass.
I didn't think Fox got what they wanted from Janeane. She remained cool, calm, and didn't go back on what she said about the Teabaggers. The camera was obviously shoved in her face to get a reaction, and possibly a shove or two, but unfortunately for Griff and Fox, it didn't happen. There was some choppy editing-("yeah-let's try to cut out those parts where I try to irritate her to hit me") but really Garofalo kicked Griff's ass. I loved when she said (in response to Griff asking her to give the 'baggers an apology: "I don't... so they're going to have to wait a long time."!! lol and lmao and rotflmao!

Is that Griff dude possibly the silliest looking human being you have ever seen? This guy looks like a reject from Revenge of the Nerds! No wonder he's usually behind the camera! What a dork!

I have found a great sketch comedy troupe on Youtube P0YKPAC some of you may have heard of and seen clips from. I wish I had seen some of their stuff earlier! They are great! Sometimes the "online" and Youtube comedy groups you can find surfing around the Internet have a few skits that are pretty funny, and more that aren't. Sorry I haven't been around at all. Been too busy, and to tell you the truth burnt a little on my blog. I have had awful trojan and malware stuff too-enough to where I will have to reformat and reinstall XP! I am doing this post from my laptop!

I have been debating whether to post this (or the other videos) for forever now! Many of you have heard of Tourette's Guy. (Apparently the guy-"Danny" passed away after a car accident) His videos are all over the Internet, and there are many Google entries out there since 1. it is a mystery if "Danny" really had/has Tourettes, and 2. Is "Danny" really dead?
I think that from what I know of the disease, "Danny" doesn't really have tourettes. His behavior is what people who don't know what tourettes is think it is. I think. It is just a crazy guy using a lot of cursing and acting silly. And that was my predicament. I have always felt that his stuff was funnier than hell! As some of you may know, I have an 8 year-old son who has autism. I hate when people make fun of kids who have special needs. I have talked about joking mean-spiritedly about people with special needs here before. I have said I wouldn't post any clip/joke about people with special needs. Comics who do this kind of routine regularly are just untalented a-holes. (Jim Idiot Norton comes to mind) Here's the thing-I think TG calls/called himself that, but he was not (even if it said he was on the now-defunct site). I think he's just acting crazy-some people said he was/is a drinker, and that made him that way. I don't know, but since I in my professional opinion, don't think he has/had tourettes, I decided to post this "best of TG" clip. I think it's funny. I don't know what you all will think.

I hope all the women out there don't have to deal with guys like this for Valentines Day!!

I'm not a Superbowl person at all. In fact, I don't even watch football too much. (I am a basketball fan)I usually like regional or Pacific Coast teams from Arizona and California in any sport over those from the Midwest or back East. (Hey Duke, and the ACC and the Big 10 are always in the Final Four or championship of something so what the hell!) This year though, I am gonna root for Pittsburgh. I probably would like Arizona, but their quarterback is just too much! I don't know how anyone could play alongside this guy! He would get on my nerves! Probably every play he does a prayer or some kind of admonition to repent!

Sorry to sound culturally insensitive, but this is just not enjoyable music! I actually like hearing Asian music, but this-no. I mean, they seem to be trying to mimic American pop anyway-and not very well!
The girl's singing is...well like a mosquito buzzing in your ear, you can't get it-you try and try, but it keeps buzzing and buzzing, and... then... you click off the video. You have to! I dared my wife to watch for more than a minute. She couldn't!

I don't know how you guys do it!)We just began a new IEP-delivery format for my special needs students which is kinda involved and will take some time to get used to! I also am overloaded with my regular work stuff, and need to catch up. Staying up late, looking at blogs and trying to find stuff to post is screwing with my sleep too.
I will maybe come by and comment a little here and there, but probably extremely light posting. Whatever the hell that means!

I opened my paper today to see that Pat Robertson was quoted as saying that he believes our country is headed for "socialism" but that in the second half of Obama's term we can expect a "rebound," it will be like the New Deal. Yes, Robertson is back with his annual prediction for the coming year. What gets me is that the news story actually noted that Robertson's predictions for the past year were more or less accurate! Like he's some kind of prophet, or something! For 2008, he had predicted a U.S. recession, widespread bloodshed in the world, and oil hitting 150 a barrel. He also claimed to have predicted who would win the vote for President, but didn't want to say anything! Uh-huh.

My question is: Who in the hell couldn't have predicted those things for last year?! I mean, at least in a general way like he did. Why are we even giving one iota of credence to what this turd says?! He is a world class creep, in my book. I hate the way, on his show, he has a story of someone whose life was a mess because of drugs, or they were sick, and now that they have come to the Lord, just because they caught His message on the 700 Club, they have recovered, or they are healed! But don't forget-Pat says, you need to contribute $-lots of it-to keep this type of ministry going! Wanna see that lady get her cancer cured-send some money! If you want that drug abuser to see "the light," send-you got it-money! If you want Robertson's book about whatever he thinks he's an expert on, you need to make 4 easy payments of 39.95! I think Robertson is a charlatan. He preys on people's empathy, beliefs and devotion to get the money that he uses for...well, who knows what!
*I finally found a video with Robertson's 2009 predictions-on YT they were mislabeled "Pat Roberts 2009 Predictions"! I am surprised that he didn't ask for $ from his congregation for making these "predictions"!

I have been into the "how to" videos on YT and other sites-some of them are just unbelievable! Why people would need a video to explain nose hair plucking is beyond me! And the air guitar thing? Why?! How is this such a big thing?! As a guitarist, this is just going way too far! Rockband and Guitar Hero I know, are really popular-(I don't get it, but-ok)but air guitar championships!?

Last year, I had the honor and pleasure of being asked to submit a post for Jon Swift's Best Blog Posts of 2007-Chosen By The Bloggers Themselves. Jon Swift: Best Blog Posts of 2007 (Chosen by the Bloggers Themselves) That post, Don't mess with the South/Phony phone conversations which had a clip of the Top Gear guys messing with some rednecks in some sort of crazy competition, and Eugene Mirman's recordings of his hilarious phone calls with telemarketers from a homophobic, evangelical Christian long distance company, (the original Top Gear clip was changed to a longer, actually better clip, and the Mirman Mp3's are now "video clips"*A guy named Johnxrox http://www.youtube.com/user/Johnxrox made the clips-he loves Eugene also! Check out his YT channel-it's cool!) got me a lot of attention! It was nice!
What was really cool was getting to see other posts from bloggers I had never heard of or who I had been meaning to read but hadn't gotten around to it! Some of the stuff that I read was some of the best blog reading I have seen in a long time! I guess that's why its called "The Best Blog Posts..!

This little story isn't related to poop, or farts, but what the hey! Before we purchased our present home, we spent a good amount of time looking at homes with realtors and checking out different homes-new and old. We were looking around here to find a house in the vicinity where we grew up. Problem is the North Valley area of ABQ has become the most expensive area in the city! We looked and looked and finally saw a very nice house being built in a new development a few miles North of where we live now. It was a 4 bedroom home with all the SW design styles we love in a home. We made arrangements with a realtor who represented the builder to formerly check the house out one Saturday.

So my wife and I go over there, and we're looking at the house and we're really "digging" it! It's a little high for us around 250K, but it was sooo nice! Anyway, we're talking about the security of the home: It would have an alarm installed. There was going to be a high wall built around this whole development, and best of all, this new community would be a gated neighborhood. No one could come into this neighborhood that wasn't a homeowner or didn't have the correct code! That made us feel safe!

We were looking out a window at the front yard and surrounding homes, and just then, realtor was extolling the benefits of how safe the neighborhood would be and that gate (ok-it wasn't fully functioning at the time, but don't ruin this for me ok?!) and how it would keep unwanted elements out of the neighborhood, when we heard a loud screeching and squealing of tires. There was a "turnaround" kind of traffic slow down thing in the center of the community- and some guy in a blue '80's Plymouth Relient Station Wagon

was driving as fast as he could, round and round that circle thing. He was an older, balding heavy guy with glasses (this is imprinted in my mind!) Now that I think of it he kind of looked like that one Al Qaeda guy, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed

with glasses! He was leaning his head out of the window as he drove squealing the tires, yelling, and laughing crazily! He did this about 6 times, and then left! The realtor was like-"Oh dear!" "What's he doing?!" "Should we call the police!?" She was probably also thinking-"I just lost a damn sale 'cause of this bozo!" Of course, a fully functioning security gate would have stopped this guy, but we ended up getting a new home a little cheaper.

My wife and I still laugh about this ! We never forget the timing, and irony of this event!

I forgot to post this admission last time, but here goes. It's another "name confusion" story.

Back before I was married (wife says "better be!") I met this really cute girl at a nightclub. I was always the shyest dude around but my friend goaded me into getting her number. I thought her name was "Hannah" (I wrote her number down- it was loud in there-just in case you're wondering how there might be confusion about her name)

Anyway, my cousin was getting married a few days later and I somehow got up the nerve to call her up to see if she wanted to go with me. There was going to be a reception, and dance after. I couldn't believe it when she said "yes"! (she was really pretty and I thought I had no business even being in her vicinity.) Anyway, we go to the ceremony and to the reception, and I'm introducing her as "Hannah" to all my cousins, aunties and uncles, etc. Then, after we ate, she wanted to change out of her "dressy" clothes into some clothes she could dance in, so I took her to her house. She came out dressed in the tightest, shortest, black miniskirt I had ever seen! Wow! So...let me collect my thoughts..thinking back....Oh yeah, uhhm... the dance! So we go back to the hall for the dance. All my male cousins (and even some uncles!) are checking Hannah out! In fact, I know a few of my male cousins' wives seemed a little pissed about her looking so damn good-ahem! I mean, they thought maybe the dress was a little too sexy. So a few of my relatives are coming around and I am introducing her to them: "Hannah, this is so and so...etc. Well one of the pissed off wives comes by and says something like-("I see you got into something a little more... comfortable") and I introduce Hannah to her. Pissed off wife/cousin says-"what was your name again?" and "Hannah" says "Anna"!! And PO'd cousin says "oh, I thought he called you "Hannah."!! I was shellshocked! Here I had been calling this girl Hannah all the time! I told her "I've been calling you 'Hannah!'" She said something like "it's ok-I knew you were just joking!" (I was like, yeah, that's right! I was just joking!) She was ok with it probably because when I called her on the phone, I was so nervous about talking to her, I used humor to drown out my flubs and "humina huminas." She apparently thought I was just teasing her about her name, and let me call her "Hannah"! (maybe she was a little "ditzy?" kind of like a Latina Barbie doll- I don't know!)

True confession Story time: When my son was born, my wife and I were walking around the hospital floor with me pushing my son in one of those hospital bassinets a few days later, since she had had a cesarean. We saw the Principal of the school were I had worked a few years earlier, who was with her daughter who had also just had a baby. We went up to her and I said hi, she said "hi" and she said "this is my daughter, etc" and then she said "what is it?" I thought she meant what did you have-a boy or a girl? She really meant-"what was your name?" I said proudly, "baby boy." She looked at me kinda weird and said, "Uhmm, no, I mean, what was your name?" My wife was so sore from the C-section that laughing was really hard for her, but she could barely keep from just bursting out loud! I got teased about this for a while! Now, we sometimes think about that day when I called myself "baby boy"!! It's good for some chuckles!
I will post a "name confusion" story that happened to me a while back for the next post. (I don't know, guess I feel like getting these off my chest!)

I saw this photo set on the MSN homepage advertising People Magazine's latest issue about former "Dreamboats." What I find striking about these 3 photos is that Mickey Rourke looks like an Igor-like creature! I mean, man! In that pathetic photo, it looks like he's even saying, "yeeeesss, Master!" Then, Tom Cruise has that ridiculous "I wanna look like a 7-year-old boy" haircut, and finally, Val Kilmer is just looking like "Yeah, I farted, I don't give a shit anymore! I admit it... Another thing I noticed: Look at the weight loss program ad to the right of the "Sunken Dreamboats." In the "before" photo, in my opinion, the woman looks pretty good to me! Yeah, I have never thought the runway model skinny look was attractive, and I think "curvy" women are more hot, but, what I'm saying is" what's so bad about the first woman's body in the first photo!? In the second photo, she looks like she's possibly....well starving...kinda like this chick did (from The Onion)

I have been a member of the ACLU for 13 years. I believe in free speech all the way. I would never ever want to censor anyone on their blogs. Whatever you post is your choice.
I love having my blog I feel that it gives me a voice that I don't have in my personal or work environment. I like to joke just about anything-righties, Evangelical Christians, gross stuff-bodily functions, sex, cussing, etc, etc.

There are some things though, that to me, are not a joking matter, and that I won't parody: rape, the Holocaust, people dying-from disease or starvation, and people with special needs. I think with most of those things, it's pretty obvious why I (or someone else) might not want to parody or joke about those subjects. With the special needs thing, though, it seems to be a pretty widely accepted to do in the blogosphere. I am not sure why, but it is.

Having a child with special needs sensitizes you to things. It can hit home. In addition, I have been a teacher to young people with special needs for more than 12 years.

My point: I won't join in/comment on/link with this kinda stuff. That's all.

You may have heard of the "goatse" Goatse.cx - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia thing before (if you do check other links regarding goatse out-be careful it's pretty nasty stuff! This link's safe) in your Internet travels. Recently, I was on Crooks and Liars and I saw an ad for Obama that looked strangely like a goatse kind of thing. I have not doctored up this photo at all! (it may still be up at CnL!) It's probably just happens to look like a "goatse thing," but I could be wrong-Karl Rove could be at it again!

3 Things that bug me:
1. That turntable needle scratching the record sound whenever someone says something crazy in different commercials. That shit's old-it has to stop!
2. That nerdy-voiced guy (kinda sounds like Ben Stein) that voices all the fast food and young people type ads in that monotone voice.
3. Sam Waterston-I never liked his character on LaO. I always loved it when the alleged perp was proven innocent! Yeah, Jack! In your face, dipshit! I have hard time even when I see him in a commercial, I kinda like hate the guy, you know? Not really, he just irritates me for some reason-guess its the LaO character.

Two phrases I find funny:
1. "mangina" -I find this phrase to be hilarious-it just sounds funny, and the thought of it coming to fruition (better watch how I word that!) is also the height of funny!
2. "vowel movement"-as in "ahhhh, eeee, iiiiih(?), ohhhhhh, uuuuuhh-sorry, I just had to make a big vowel movement." sorry, that's stupid, I know!
Speaking of bowel movements: My mom is always afraid of saying anything "wrong" or "improper." So when she's talking about my son going to the restroom to "make #2", instead of coming right out and saying that, she will say "...then after he ate, he needed to go have a 'BM', so he left the table." I tease her and say something like "What, he had a 'Brian Mulligan?" Or, "You mean he needed to have a 'Brian Martinez'?"!!!

We have just been through one of the most contentious election periods in our nation's history. (and that contentiousness ain't over just yet!) What we need to do now is try to unite! While I know that our country needs to unite amongst different races, creeds, and beliefs, I don't think that this kind of activity depicted in this next video is quite what we mean by "uniting"!

There has been some talk lately about how the "Huxtable factor" may have affected the outcome of the 2008 election: Cosby ponders the election's 'Huxtable factor'.

Hmmm. I'm not sure that the "Huxtable Factor" figured into this great victory for Barack Obama. I think that what was more a factor in this election was an aversion to the "Bunker Factor"

The "Bunker Factor" is a heretofore unreported phenomenon in which Americans, tired of hearing the same old right wing, racist lies and garbage rehashed over and over, finally have had enough. They voted against "Bunkerism."

Please! Does anyone know of a good reliable alternative to Blogrolling.com?! Blogrolling has been out for about 2 weeks now, maybe longer. I have liked using BR-its easy to use and I have had few troubles with it before, but this outage has been really long! It doesn't seem like editing or adding links will be coming back online soon. I have wanted to add Kirby and Tits( heh heh-that sounds kinda funny!) to my list, and add Bubbles' new blog address. Well, if anyone knows a good program to use, let me know. If BR comes back on by next week, I might be ok, but it doesn't seem likely.

I have just watched all the news accounts of Barack Obama being elected 44th President of the United States! I am just blown away by this historical precedent and so happy that Americans in droves have chosen a leader who I think will lead us down a better road.

People didn't fall for the near constant smears, innuendo, and outright lying from extreme right talk radio and TV pundits. They voted in their best interests, I believe.

For me, as a progressive Democrat, while I fully supported Obama it was with a little trepidation. While I may have sometimes felt Obama is definitely not, as the far right said, the "socialist" or "radical leftist", and actually a moderate and sometimes somewhat conservative Democrat on some issues, I still think Barack Obama will make a great President.
I am proud that my country has come together to elect a great person to lead our country and show all of us and other countries that the American people can come together for common good.
Phew! Sorry that sounds a little too "politician" for me but I mean it!

1. I am a little OCD about some things. If I am the last person out the door in the morning, (and especially if I am running late) I will check to see that the coffeemakers, and/or toaster etc are unplugged-(as we always do every AM) but not just once, but several times! I will check our front security door several times. In my mind, I am thinking maybe didn't really feel that that the door was locked, or the appliances off/unplugged.

2. I am right-handed, all except for writing (on paper) with my left. When I was teaching in the classroom, I found that I could and would write with my right hand easier than with my left. (something about the angle/perspective?!) Who knows?

3. If I have had a crappy day at work, or I am in a bad mood, I would much rather listen to heavy music-80' metal, punk, grunge, whatever is "harder-sounding" than some easier listening, supposedly calming music. If I listen to happy pop stuff, it gets me more pissed. I would rather the music "commiserate" with me at the time I feel like s*%$, than tell me I should be smiling and whistlin' a tune!

4. I cannot cross my eyes.

5. Nor can I do the Vulcan Salute (without "helping" my fingers to make the sign)

6. I "save" all manner of insects/arachnids in the house by using a special cup to capture and then heave them far outside. If I hear my wife say-"Hon! Better get your spider cup! Quick!" then I know it's probably a large hairy spider, who had just wandered off course and entered our humble abode. Of course, flies, roaches, and mosquitos are dead meat, but I will save the actually docile, scaredy cat black widow-(hey they are good to get rid of the damn flies!) and the occasional centipede. Wasps and bees probably not. Too hard to catch!

Before we knew that Barack was coming to ABQ, we had gotten tickets to go see Gordon Lightfoot. I know some of you may laugh, but I think he was/is? a pretty good guitarist/songwriter. Besides, he has been sick lately and this may be his last concert tour. Well, we went to the concert. Poor Gordon! Geez! He just isn't the same. I told my wife/relatives who went with us-if I could just put out of my mind that this guy was Gordon Lightfoot, I could take it. His songs that I didn't know were ok, but the familiar ones were just not the same. Anyway, later, after the concert we went to the local Flying Star to get a late snack, and heard from people who had been to the Obama rally that there were approximately 60K!! In the paper this AM, it said 45K, but our paper is like Fox News-print version! The news of the great turnout in this city/state that was supposed to be a big questionmark for Obama is great! McCain had a rally also in ABQ yesterday in the AM. Supposedly 1100 turned out for that!

True story. I had a primary Dr. who, twice mistakenly identified me as another patient. This particular Dr. asked me after he came into the examination room-"Hey, how are you dealing with the Crohn's disease?" Not having Crohn's disease before (or so I thought-I had just had a physical and the Dr. was to give me my results) I now thought for a second that I had just developed Crohn's disease! After he realized it was another patient with a similar name, we were ok until next time. The next time, he came in the room, and said, "we need to keep monitoring how you're doing with your diabetes"! Of course, I luckily didn't have diabetes, and of course, I promptly switched to another Dr.!

Speaking of comics-one of my favorite cartoonists -(if not my favorite!) Just a word of warning-it has some graphic depictions of animal killing-being that she's an avid hunter.

In looking for guitar "how-to" video clips on YT, I have come across some informative clips from a channel called Expert Village expertvillage that features hundreds of videos of people who purport to be experts in many different fields and interests. There are musicians, handypersons, exercise experts, etc, etc. There are videos on how to be a pole dancer, how to survive prison, and many other different scenarios and situations. Most are not done as a joke, but real people who are trying to help people out people needing information about the field they are strong in. And some of the people who are the "experts" are really experts. They are knowledgable, and give good advice. It is the people who are obviously joking around or doing silly stuff that caught my eye the other day. Some of this stuff is STRANGE! Weird. But it can be funny sometimes.

Jerome Corsi deported from Kenya-the (real) true story!

It has been reported on the Fox website that author Jerome Corsi has been deported from Kenya. Kenya Reportedly Deports American Author of Anti-Obama Book. Actually, the reasons that the story insinuates are just not the case. (Whoa! Fox News' reporting isn't accurate?!)

Some are reporting that Corsi was thrown out due to his recently published book, "Obama Nation-Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality. Obama's father is a Kenyan and some feel that the anti-Obama book is inflammatory to Kenyans.

Well, I have the real story on this. It's not due to the book and its anti-Obama rhetoric. It's due to the gas. The gas you say? What gas?! This is part of the story I brought to you a couple of months ago These revelations are noxious!

Other sources are saying that Corsi's grammaticist, Ted (Corsi will not give his last name due to "security reasons") is still having a lot of problems with what Corsi described in his book as "human gas." It seems Mr. Corsi is also having problems with foul odors emanating from his person in addition to Ted.

Joseph Angwenyi, a Kenyan police officer, reported that both Corsi and Ted were causing a "ruckus" in a small restaurant. "Some of the restaurant's patrons kept smelling something most foul" Angwenyi said through an interpreter. "The people kept smelling this horrible smell. As some walked near the table where Corsi and Ted were seated, they noticed that was the smell's strongest point." "It was them." (meaning Corsi and Ted) "They were giving off a sulfur-like smell...it was overpowering!" So overpowering was the stench that Corsi and Ted were asked to leave the restaurant. Soon after, due to the continuing "odor issues" at their hotel, they were politely asked to leave the country.

In response to the question that Corsi and Ted were asked to leave due to the book, Angwenyi replied, "No! Absolutely not! Kenyans do not concern themselves with comic books, or the rantings of those who are obviously unstable." "What Kenyans are concerned with is having clean, fresh oxygen to breathe." "These two individuals were actually making Kenyan citizens sick with their foul odors." "Sulfur." "Mr. Corsi and the other person, were literally engulfing anyone within a 10-15 foot radius with sulfur-like gas smells." "Let me personally say that I have never smelled such a horrible, disgusting odor in my life!" "No bathroom-probably in the world-has ever experienced the putrid smell that those two unleashed!"

So, the moral of the story is, if you want the real story on some issue, whether that be the Presidential election, the economy, politics, or some right wing nut jobs causing a stink in Kenya, don't trust Fox News! Trust me!

Hey folks. Been really busy with work lately, and haven't felt like posting much anyways. I have been watching more TV news shows lately-interested in how things are turning out.
I haven't even been visiting other blogs very much lately. I want to get back into it soon! I need to catch up though, at least on my dumb comments sometime soon! So blogmates-I will be seeing you soon!

I was wondering what Fox News was lying about earlier, so I turned the TV on and saw the typical barbie anchor giving a report about Sarah Palin's jabs at Obama's acquaintance with Bill Ayers at a rally. The other anchor then said something like "...in the interests of fairness, since we already spoke with Obama's campaign manager, we now have Tucker Bounds, John McCain's campaign manager."
Now, if Fox News was actually fair and balanced, like they claim to be, this wouldn't be the punchline it is. I mean, come on! This network has been hammering away at Obama for every little thing ever since he was jumped into the race. They have had guest after guest, and show after show try to smear and malign Obama's campaign. To say that they have even tried to give airtime to Obama in a positive manner is truly insulting. And Fox "News" is truly a joke. (I know, I know-that's not groundbreaking news) I actually managed to laugh a little at the inanity.

Also, I just need to say something. There is a lot of divisiveness in America right now. As a progressive/liberal person, I see a lot of that divisiveness coming from the right-the right in our country is on alert right now, trying to play catch up now that Obama's lead in the polls is growing. Looking at comments in the blogs-Liveleak, or Youtube, it is clear that some on the right are afraid of a black President, even one who is, in my opinion, not very liberal at all. I would characterize Obama's platform and beliefs as a moderate to even conservative Democrat. I am more like a Kucinich (or more!) Demo, but I do think Obama would a great President. He would take us light years away from the mess we are in now, that's for sure!
I know that there are some on the left who say dumb things that can rub people the wrong way, but I think the right in this country is reactionary-(I guess that's why they are called reactionaries). Everything is a harsh, negative , and sometimes outright threatening reaction to change, or new ideas.
I was watching Fox later in the day, and guess what? They have hired Mike Huckabee to host his own show! Only on Fox! Fair and Balanced-yes indeed. Mike Huckabee!
It even shows up (a little) in one of my son's kids videos. Just recently, he had a birthday, and received a Veggietales video. Veggietales is produced by a conservative christian company, but I had never heard of anything, or thought that the company would be brazen enough to fill these particular movies with rightie beliefs that showed that particular bias. I was wrong. I was watching one of the movies with my son the other day, and an old west character was narrating, talking about traveling in the West, and he says "Indians" and then quickly corrected himself and said "oh, excuse me!" "Native Americans!" Personally, I don't think my Indian friends or neighbors mind being called Indians. I use that term. It was the way the character in the movie-a old west Yosemite Sam-like character- said it that got my goat. It was said in a snide, condescending way. I know this may sound silly to some, but taken with all the other crap, it gets to me sometimes. All this rightie claptrap!

Some Oldies but Goodies... and maybe you hadn't seenies?

Back in June 2007 when I first started out on this blog experience, I had really wanted to start posting some of these hilarious cartoons I had seen on this really cool site called Camp Chaos Camp Chaos . When the time came around when I wanted to post them, the site was down, undergoing changes or something, and if I remember correctly, they had taken a few of the best 'toons down!

They had these 'toons drawn, written and animated by Bob Cesca, (who, by the way has a cool blog: Bob Cesca's Goddamn Awesome Blog! Go!) about the Metallica vs Napster controversy. (see: About Camp Chaos) Metallica-especially bandmembers Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield got ripped for their stance against Napster music downloading, and I, being a proponent of downloading (not with Napster specifically, but just the premise of the whole thing-ultra-rich rockstars complaining about a few high school and college kids downloading some of their stuff for free) was happy about that. I didn't like Metallica then at all so those clips were all the more funny. Those cartoons were probably some of the funniest shit I had ever seen! In fact, I don't know if I have seen many 'toons that funny since. You have to know who Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield are, their personas, and how they speak to really get it, although with the dialogue and the visuals alone, it's still pretty funny. Lar's eyes are crazy! You have to see the way those eyes and the way they move around, and those great voices!

I also hadn't been able to find this really funny Toby Keith clip, but I found that one too! See way down below! I think that clip has run into some trouble from either Toby Keith's legal team or maybe Cesca felt it was a little too inflammatory (for post-9/11 feelings) at the time-either way, believe me-that clip is hard to find!

Guess what!? I found some of those cartoons that were the funniest! Here are a few of them! I am posting a Lars Ulrich interview so you can get a "feel" for his mannerisms!

From wolverines to threats of gang-related shootings

Hi! How's it going!? Long time no see! I know, I know! I've been busy alright!? No, really, I have been busy with work and dealing with personal issues and professional issues and "other stuff"!

Well anyway, last night, I had to get away from all that other stuff, and where did I go? To that otherworldly sanctum of video ecstasy called Youtube! You see, Youtube can take me away, Calgon-it has all the necessary guitar/music videos I need to escape. It also has most of the comedic clips I need for a laugh, and it sometimes blows me away with stuff that I really don't expect!

Like, last night, for example. Here I am just aimlessly looking at clips about animals. For some reason, (don't ask me why) I looked up wolverines. I think I had seen a news blip about a wolverine or something, ok?! So, I'm looking for wolverine clips and I find one where a wolverine kicks ass on 2 wolves! I mean, the poor wolves had gone to all this trouble killing a moose or something-(they shoulda asked for help from Sarah P. huh?) and then this damn wolverine comes along and steals it. Not only steals it, but steals it in a very rude way! With lots of teeth gnashing and growling, yeah this wolverine didn't f$@% around! So, I want to find out more about this potentially vicious animal, but I'm distracted by the "Related Videos" link on the right of the screen. I see titles where there's fights between all kinds of different animals but with each click on the Related Videos, I get deeper into some shit I don't wanna see at all! I think the Related Videos thing is why we have banned our 7 year-old son from looking at Youtube! Hey! I really like your TTS! And More Moron music He likes to look at different kinds of machines- washing machines etc, jack in the boxes, cartoons, etc, but those damn Related Videos get him into trouble!

I finally get to this weird gangbanger shit, where some Sureno 13 gangbangers (who have unfortunately begun to set up shop around ABQ) are talking smack to some rival "Nortenos"! This one clip is getting all up on some Nortenos ass, talking all kinds of smack, maddogging it, esse! I look in the comments and, incongruously, (but somehow, very fitting!) amongst the nasty, undecipherable language and hopefully only written threats, is a spam comment that just melted all that hate away!

Well here goes:

1. Where was I ten years ago?

-September 1998- I was here in ABQ, beginning a tenure teaching in a special needs preschool classroom, at an elementary school about 5 minutes away from our house! I must have liked it-I stayed doing that up until last school year, when I became an itinerant early childhood liaison, working with special needs kids preschool to 3rd grade. I had taught a kindergarten special ed. classroom and the preschool special education classroom at another school for 3 years before that.

2. What was on my to do list today?

-work on some IEPs for upcoming meetings, and calling a parent about some issues. Email stuff; Pick up my son after school-(I am lucky I have my office where I write reports, IEPs, etc, at my son's school which is the same school I had taught at for 10 years-see above) to take him to his private Speech Therapist.

3. What would I do if I was a millionaire?

-I know this might sound bad as a teacher, but if I/we (ahem! says my wife!) won the lottery, I would want to quit working. (this would depend on how much of a millionaire I/we were, but, if it was a big win, I would want to finish out the year, and then resign, so that I could work on helping my son out more and advocating for him. Sometimes my (and my wife also) being tired affects how much I can do with and for him-simple things like going to the park, etc to other things like trying to implement at home some things that his therapists recommend we do, and doing more to help him deal with his autism. Being an educator is a very tough job, professionally and emotionally sometimes. I know there are some teachers who would never think of quitting but...that's their thing, and I applaud them. We should all hope that there are those teachers who can dedicate their whole lives to teaching our kids. I would probably want to help special educators with some expenses or other assistance since our state is so poorly funded education wise. I would help out my mom/family with some stuff, pay off a few things. Nothing extravagant.

4. Five places I have lived:

-that's easy-I haven't lived in more than two-here in ABQ, NM and Los Lunas, NM. Nowhere else.

5. Bad habits I have.

- not closing cupboard doors sometimes.

-not pushing in my chair

-staying on the computer for hours and hours-unless my wife gets a hold of me!

Hey! Can anyone tell me if this is real or not?! It's purported to be a tape/clip of Britney Spear's vocals without backing tracks/vocals! It seems real, but then, I guess it could be faked. I remember hearing a Madonna or Paula Abdul clip where, since they dance around a lot onstage, the vocals were pretty bad-lots of heavy breathing, gasps-but this is something else! Its just plain old singing like crap, even without dancing around (that much)!

It was widely reported today that the really popular reggaeton star Daddy Yankee gave his endorsement to Republican nominee John McCain in a ceremony at Central High School (Cindy McCain's alma mater-'72) in Phoenix, Arizona. Daddy Yankee, whose real name is Raymond Ayala, said "I'm here endorsing Senator McCain because I believe in his ideals and his proposals to lead this nation, you know?" He met McCain two years ago after each was named one of Time Magazine’s most influential people on earth.

Wow! Hoo boy! This is a ringing endorsement by someone who is ever so influential and knowledgeable about the issues involved in this election! This endorsement might just change my mind about voting for Barack!

All I can say is: what the hell?! Influential!? I had never heard of this Daddy Yankee dude before in my life. Him with his dumb and dumber Carrey haircut and crappy music! This is more embarrassing than a big coup for the McCain campaign in my opinion.

I just love the show Scrubs. To me, the show is very funny, and sometimes it can be touching too-sometimes in a roller coaster way! You'll be watching it, and it goes to some sad scene, and next thing you know, it clocks you with a hairpin turn to dark, dark humor. I guess that's why I like it so much! Anyway, I was looking at Boston YT clips and I found this silly little thing from the Scrubs crew.

Ted and I were told by Hussein-Obama staffers that Hussein-Obama was going to appear tomorrow 7-27, in Oskaloosa, Iowa at 1:00PM. We got drove over to Oskaloosa at about 11:00, thinking there was going to be a huge crowd there and we wanted to get a little closer to Hussein-Obama (even though we were following the judge's order to stay no less than 200 feet away from him). We were surprised to see no big crowds, no lines of cars, no police, no Secret Service agents. So we watched and waited. Nothing. Maybe the Hussein-Obama staffer got the date wrong? I don't think we made a mistake.
I found out that yesterday Hussein-Obama actually appeared more than 86 miles away, in Adel, Iowa! I think that was a dirty trick on the Hussein-Obama staffer's part! That was mean! Really mean!
Ted and I got up, cleaned up and went to go eat breakfast at the local IHOP. I had the Rooty Tooty Fresh 'N Fruity breakfast, and Ted had the Three Eggs and Pancakes platter. Boy, were they good! I love the Rooty Tooty breakfast!
We went back to the hotel. I got sleepy-took a long nap. We woke up, ate lunch at the hotel diner and did some light shopping at Walgreens. I had a snack when we got back to the hotel, and took a shower, and turned in for an early evening. It was a tiring, eventful day!
Got word from our Hussein-Obama "mole" that Hussein-Obama has a devious side. Boy, I bet he has a hell of a lot of skeletons in his closet! We are supposed to meet the "mole" tomorrow at 7:00 PM in a local diner to discuss just what those transgressions are! Whatever he has on Hussein-Obama, it must be really good! As I spoke to him on the phone, he just kept laughing, really hard!
The "mole" didn't show up at 7:00 like we had talked about on the phone. Hmmm, wonder if he's got more dirt on Hussein-Obama, and just wants to compile more stuff for us, and then contact us to meet later? Yes, I think that's the case! At least that's what I think it is!
John O. called me last night. Asked if I had been taking my "medicine." (I hadn't). He told me, "Jerome, you really need to take your medication, remember, like we discussed the last time."
It's hard to write a book when you can't breathe!
I am still having those nightmares where I wake up, not being able to breathe, smelling the choking stench of sulfur. It doesn't matter if its during a nap or at night-I keep having those horrible nightmares! I am beginning to wonder if it has to do with something I have eaten. Every time Ted and I eat a good, filling meal, (maybe our meals are too "heavy"?) I always have a nightmare that night! And Ted always seems to get indigestion. I still think Hussein-Obama is trying to poison us!

I think that one thing we should be doing as a nation is relying more on public transportation and when possible, using bicycles to get to work or to universities or colleges. I have always enjoyed using bicycles to get from here to there and riding a bicycle is a great way to exercise. Have you ever ridden a bicycle with a teenage girl or two? Or maybe a couple ladies with blank expressions on their faces? It's great! I found it clears the mind and I just loved those long, long rides around the compound at Strong City!

I think we should listen to the youth for ideas on how to help gain America's energy independence. The youth, especially teen aged girls, are a vast resource for ideas. About energy that is.

What about wind power? At Strong City we had a large windmill that just turned and turned when the wind blew. The teenage girls, and I used to just sit and watch the windmill all the time. We would get a blanket, a picnic lunch, and just sit there, hugging and looking at that windmill on a blanket. Too bad we didn't use it for any of Strong City's power needs.

I am for biofuels. Biofuels can be beneficial to America for its energy needs since most of them are naturally occurring. Father would want us to seek out and what the Earth can naturally provide. I thank the Father for nature, bio fuels, brainwashed female followers, and of course, teenage girls!

Super Comedy!

When I was a youngster, I used to stay up late and watch the Late Night with David Letterman with my parents once in a while. I liked a lot of the skits and guests that they had on the show. One of my favorite guests was Super Dave Osborne, the deadpan stuntman whose stunts were less exciting feats of precision and daring, and more often hilarious tragedies! I couldn't find any of these clips on YT until just recently, and I am glad I at least found a few! Geez-I didn't know that "Osbourne's" brother is Albert Brooks! I like Albert Brooks a lot also! And I didn't know that their real names are Albert and Bob Einstein!

I tried to find more of his inane stunts but couldn't find them. I also thought his interviews on Late Night with DL were pretty good-couldn't find any! Here is a "non-stunt" clip that is kinda funny.

Have you ever gone to a thriller type of movie and, because it tries to be "twisty" and surprising, the storyline is shot to hell!? The plot? What plot?! I swear sometimes a movie can have so many plot twists and turns that you end up more confused and pissed off that you just spent a good chunk of change on admission on the crap you can't believe you just spent the good chunk of change on! These revelations are noxious!

Recently, a new book written by Jerome Corsi-The Obama Nation-Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality was published. This incendiary book seeks to blow the lid off the Obama popularity and attraction that is rampant across our nation. There are many strong accusations and assertions contained within the book. Here are a few excerpts:

Ted, my spellchecker and grammaticist and I were walking just behind the Hussein-Obama entourage as he moved about, shaking hands with admirers and well-wishers. I caught a whiff of something, smelled like human gas. I am not entirely sure, as Ted insisted it wasn't him who 'let one go', but I think it was Hussein-Obama .

A really mean Secret Service agent told Ted and I to 'get the hell outta here, now!' and 'Didn't I tell you once to get the hell outta here!?" I think that is mean on the Hussein-Obama camp's part. To deny American citizens the right to view, question and yell at-(we were placed so far away and had to yell!) a Presidential candidate!

We were physically assisted away from the Hussein-Obama residence due to the illegal and Soviet-style restraining order. We were told by a Secret Service agent "Hey! The order says that you are not to come within 200 feet of the Obama family, do you understand me!?" I fear for this great nation when investigators seeking the truth like myself can't root through people's garbage.

Observed Barack Hussein (yes-I will use his full name or at least his middle and last name for this book, thank you!) Obama putting an empty plastic water bottle in a recycling receptacle. The way he tossed it in there was...uhh ..I don't know...you know...kinda...strange.

During another Hussein-Obama speaking event, I again smelled human gas. I again questioned Ted about this. Yes, he was directly in front of me and yes, he and I had just ate an enormous meal at Grandy's but, I know, in my heart of hearts that it was Hussein-Obama.

Ted and I had a long, long drive to the next Hussein-Obama speaking engagement. I kept smelling something, something horrible! It was stuck in my nasal cavities. I knew that I was just smelling the seething and frothing impudence (Ted gave me that line!) of the American political process going down the sewer as Americans fawn, fret and sway (yes-that one has Ted all over it) over a candidate that is unfit for command. A Muslim, I kinda think.

Hussein-Obama didn't even look at me today. Although he is more than 200 feet away. It's hard to see someone's eyes from that distance, especially when they are devious, and possibly gas-emitting Muslims like Hussein-Obama!

I woke up in a cold sweat in our hotel room last night. I had the worst nightmare! I dreamt that I was suffocating in a cloud of noxious fumes. The fumes could best be described as sulfur-like. Well, when I awoke, I was at first really in a daze, and I turned to Ted who was in the twin bed next to mine and said, 'Wha! What is that!? I can't breathe! I can't breathe! It's that smell again!' and Ted just replied 'hey Jer, just go back to sleep, it's...nothing...nothing at all...ok.' And then I heard Ted roll over and mumble something about eating too much roast and his stomach hurt or something. Maybe Hussein-Obama is trying to poison us!

Been meaning to put up some Wanda Sykes. I never could get into her TV show that much-but Fox cancelled it before I could develop more interest in it. I don't think her style came across that well. Recently, I heard her unmistakable voice. Where, you ask? My son was watching Over the Hedge, which is a great children's movie with a lot of great voices like W. Shatner, B. Willis, N. Nolte, S. Carell, and of course, the wonderful Ms. Sykes. She plays a skunk who just loves to "gas" whoever is giving her some crap! Great movie!

Bernie Mac-October 5, 1957-August 9, 2008

I shoulda posted this before the last one. Bernie Mac, who I felt was one of the funniest comedians around, died yesterday after suffering from pneumonia. The guy had great delivery, hilarious facial expressions, and a raw sense of humor that mixed observations of family life, differences in cultures/races and autobiographical stuff that was just plain funny!

I guess I can understand how the Obama camp might not have wanted Bernie to get too raw at a recent fundraiser. I think the media made too big a deal of it. Obama apparently didn't get too upset about it. George Lopez, another favorite of mine, had to be careful to not do his full "FTP" routine at another Obama fundraiser!

I don't watch that many TV shows , but my wife and I thought the Bernie Mac Show was one of the funniest. It was too bad FOX cancelled the show. There have been a few shows that break down the "fourth wall," but his show took that device to new levels with Bernie communicating his thoughts about the show's events in an often hilarious, and sometimes touching manner.

He's gonna be missed.

Whew! Have I been having fun! I discovered making movies with Windows Movie Maker! Fun! I have never uploaded a clip to Youtube before! Now I plan on doing that once in a while! I plan on making some guitar stuff and maybe an occasional thing for this blog!

I also made my own clip for the song. The other one's better than mine, but I think I did an ok job. Do you like it? Is it too strong? I don't know...Rush has a long, long litany of racist, cruel, hypocritical, mean-spirited crap (ever heard those songs on his site?) that he has been able to spew to a wide audience for a very long time. Too long! He's kinda due, you know?

I have had some weird issues lately with this blog:
1. I got a notice from Blogger on Wednesday saying I was a spam blogger-got it cleared up by today after a review but...
2. Just tonight, I couldn't log into my blog! I kept getting a "Internet Explorer cannot open the site..." "Operation aborted" message!!
3. Google groups info said that the issue does seem to have something to do with the spam thing, as others have recently had the very same problems as me, and that Sitemeter also seems to be involved.
I removed Sitemeter from my Layout page(the only way to get to it) and here I am-It worked! But what next!?

If this keeps up, I might have to have some of what this guy is having! (Saw this on blogmate Marvin's Because I Was Bored Because I Was Bored... ) Speaking of "classic country"! Jon Lajoie-"High as fuck." Check out his other songs on YT!

You might think I really hate country music what with all the parodies of country albums I have been doing lately. Nah, I was just on a roll one night or two! And I don't really hate country. I really like some of it-old classic country, Hank, Dwight, Junior Brown, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Willie, etc. I just don't like about 90% of the commercial country stuff put out today. Especially that kind of "country" that's just the same old song and dance, and "goes with the flow." Just in case you've been wondering.

Here are our triops-all grown up! (sorry about the kinda blurry pics-they move around a lot, and I couldn't get good closeup photos!) Don't know how much longer these guys/girls will live, but I know that they don't live much longer than 20-90 days. That's on average. These triops are at least 30 days old. (click on the photo to see the little weirdos!)

Oh wow, man! Flashbacks!

I have been having flashbacks... err...thinking about two funny shows that had the concept of flashback scenes for the "punchlines" of their jokes. Dream On was a show that I really liked when it came out-good concept, good writing, and of course those hilarious flashback scenes! It was kinda hard to catch back when it was on, since we didn't have HBO, and we had to ask someone to tape it. I thought Brian Benben was a great as a the office guy who gets the raw end of the deal often, and Wendy Malick?! Hell, I think she's been funny in any of the shows she's done-this one, Just Shoot Me, etc.

Family Guy is another show that often uses flashback scenes to great effect also! A big part of Family Guy's humor are the flashbacks!

* In my last post I commented on Michael Savage's remarks about kids with autism. There has been a lot of heated discussion on this matter, calls to the local stations where Savage is broadcast, etc. I want to make something clear: I don't want these stations to take Savage off the air. As a longtime ACLU member, I strongly believe in the First Amendment. I just feel that people who are affected by this kind of talk need to be heard and their displeasure with these types of statements need to be acknowledged. I also understand that there are some kids who are misdiagnosed as having autism. Some adults may even be claiming to suffer from autism in a strange bid for attention, or possibly sympathy. I think that the number of those misdiagnoses and false claims are very, very few! No way is it 99 out of 100 as Savage stated, and since autism is a spectrum disability, it has wide variants of severity-meaning that some children could have some of the characteristics, but others just a few, and other children could have many of the characteristics. It can be difficult to diagnose when the child is higher functioning, and has few, less-severe characteristics of autism. The same could be said for lower functioning children that may have few of the "classic" autism characteristics.
Michael Savage oversimplified and exaggerated (as he does with most of his show-and that I think most would agree is not a false claim!) the discrepancies and "gray areas" often associated with autism diagnosis.
Thanks to all my friends who tried to call the radio stations, and even if you didn't, don't worry about it-I think Michael Savage will continue to dig himself a large hole and proceed to bury himself in it all by himself!

Michael Savage is utter slime!

As a parent of a 7 year-old child with autism, my wife and I (and our family) know autism is very real, and what effects it has on our son! I just got this alert from the autism listserve I am on. Man! I always knew that Michael Weiner Savage was an unhinged dipshit who seems to have been horribly abused in childhood to always be so cruel, mean-spirited, but this just proves it once and for all! You won't believe this! He claims autism is a fraud, and insinuates that it's diagnosis is caused by absent fathers and parents being too lenient and sensitive with their children! He also claims that since minority children with asthma get benefits for the condition, asthma symptoms are faked to receive said benefits!
We are calling our local right wing station tomorrow AM (that happily picked up Savage after the other local right wing station dropped him) and voicing our anger for them giving this piece of crap a venue to spew his sludge from! I am asking if you can, do the same. I believe in freedom of speech, but these radio stations need to know that Savage's hateful spew is not wanted, and that most people don't like this garbage! Thanks if you can call!

T&A (from Aye!/Americanscot) announced recently he was closing his blog! I was shocked! T&A was one of the first guys I got on my blogroll and he checked out my site in the beginning. I loved going to his site, learning something new, checking out some of his cool photos and/or venting about some post in a comment. We also found that we had some commonalities with family members having autism and of course, our beliefs about politics and religion. He's going to be missed! He said he was going to visit his blogmate's sites, and comment, so T&A, I'm holding you to that!

I love comedian Eugene Mirman, who I had on this blog a long, long time ago with this post: C3 Fun -Comics, Comedians and Clips: Don't mess with the South. Jon Swift featured it for his Best Blog Posts of 2007 (Chosen by the Bloggers Themselves) . That got me a lot of hits for Mirman's hilarious recorded phone calls messing with those far right Christian long distance phone telemarketers, plus that Top Gear thing in the deep South! I am indebted to Jon-that was the freakin' most hits this lowly blog has ever had! Thanks Jon! (Glad you're back!) Here are a coupla clips of Mirman at his strange, NSFW best!
